The first Japanese automobile company was established in 1907. The first Japanese car was created in 1917 by Mistubishi Motors. Toyota's first car was in 1936 and Honda's first car was in 1963. 3 years after Honda's first car, Toyota created the Toyota Corolla which is one of the best selling cars of all time in the automobile industry. In 1982, the Honda Accord was the first Japanese car ever built in the United States. In the next seven years, three companies launched smaller companies into the United States. In 2008, Toyota surpasses General Motors, an American car company, to become the wolrd's largest car manufacturer. Some automobile companies In Japan are Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, and Subaru.
